{Cinemania Student Critic}The Best of Looney Tunes

This is a post by JBFC Cinemania Student Critic Caleb Feinstein

CalebThis collection of classic cartoons is definitely fun for any age despite coming from a kids show. The Best of Looney Toons is full of well-known (One Froggy Evening and Duck Dodgers) and lesser-known episodes (Back Alley Oproar) to offer a variety of entertaining options. One of the cool things about this collection of shows is that the story lines are all different. One is about a cat singing at midnight and being chased by Elmer Fudd, another is about Little Red Riding Hood but with a twist. This collection also features a wide array of characters: Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian, Sylvester, Tweety, and Elmer Fudd all contribute to this funny collection. As I watched these episodes, to my left were people older than my parents and to my right were kids younger than me. They were all caught up in the action and laughing as they watched. My favorite out of all of the shows was probably the classic, Rabbit Seasoning, with Daffy Duck trying, without success, to eliminate Bugs Bunny. The play on words and the literary tricks the characters play on each other were very amusing and made me laugh out loud. Overall I found it amazing that such an old show is still funny for the newer generation.
