Westchester Community Foundation and the League of Women Voters of Westchester Co-sponsor Time for Ilhan at the Jacob Burns Film Center
Pleasantville, NY – 08-XX-18 – Erin Vilardi, founder and CEO of VoteRunLead, and Laura Rossi, executive director of Westchester Community Foundation, will lead a discussion following a screening of the documentary Time for Ilhan, on September 27. During a politically charged time, this film about Ilhan Omar, a Somali-American Muslim woman running for elected office in Minnesota, is must-see viewing for anyone interested in changing the status quo and witnessing the rise of a new political force.
Time for Ilhan is part of the Community Matters series at the Jacob Burns Film Center, a film series sponsored by the Westchester Community Foundation that focuses on local issues, discussion, and action. This screening is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Westchester Education Foundation.
