New York International Children's Film Festival Announces Partnerships with Jacob Burns Film Center and Sag Harbor Cinema for 2024 Event

FESTIVAL RUNS MARCH 2-17 IN NYC, MARCH 2-3 IN WESTCHESTER & MARCH 16-17 IN THE HAMPTONS

New York International Children’s Film Festival (NYICFF) is once again expanding beyond New York City in 2024. The Oscar®-qualifying festival announced partnerships with Jacob Burns Film Center and Sag Harbor Cinema, making these storied cinemas the official home of NYICFF 2024 in Westchester and the Hamptons, respectively.

“Our mission is to get our curation in front of as many kids and families as possible, “ said NYICFF Executive Director Nina Guralnick. “We are thrilled to be working with partners like Jacob Burns Film Center and Sag Harbor Cinema who are as passionate about the transformative power of film for kids.”

Each venue will present new films from the 2024 lineup, curated by NYICFF Director of Programming Maria-Christina Villaseñor in collaboration with JBFC Senior Programmer Monica Castillo and SHC Founding Artistic Director Giulia D’Agnolo Vallan. The beloved Shorts for Tots program for the youngest audiences (ages 3-6) will screen at both venues.

“The programs at both Jacob Burns Film Center and Sag Harbor Cinema encompass the varied styles, stories, and genres that make independent film so vital and important,” said Villaseñor. “We are honored to help them provide that same breadth and quality to the young people in their communities and spark a love of cinema for years to come.”

Tickets to the 2024 edition of New York International Children’s Film Festival go on sale on February 7 for NYICFF members and February 12 for the general public.

UPDATE, FEB. 16: Tickets are now on sale for all NYICFF 2024 screenings at the Jacob Burns Film Center, including Short Films One (Mar. 2, Ages 5+), Shorts for Tots (Mar. 2, Ages 3+), Short Films Two (Mar. 3, Ages 8+), and Moominvalley (North American Theatrical Premiere Mar. 3, Ages 6+).
