Elton John: Never Too Late

Preview Screening followed by a Q&A with Co-Directors R.J. Cutler & David Furnish

This event is SOLD OUT. There will be a standby line starting one hour before showtime in person at the box office.

Directed by R.J. Cutler and David Furnish, the documentary follows Elton John as he looks back on his life and the astonishing early days of his 50-year career in this emotionally charged, intimate and uplifting full-circle journey. As he prepares for his final concert in North America at Dodger Stadium, Elton takes us back in time and recounts the extraordinary highs and heartbreaking lows of his early years and how he overcame adversity, abuse and addiction to become the icon he is today.

Catch this preview screening followed by a Q&A with co-directors R.J. Cutler & David Furnish, moderated by JBFC Board President Janet Maslin.

This fall, the Jacob Burns Film Center is honored to welcome documentarian R.J. Cutler. Before preview screenings of his acclaimed new films Martha and Elton John: Never Too Late, catch our one-night-only screenings of his prior films Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry, Belushi, and The September Issue.

"A robustly satisfying and emotional documentary about the life and career of Elton John, that captures him, in a most revealing way, in his ’70s heyday."
Owen Gleiberman, Variety
